Senior Pastor Chuck and Pat celebrated 51 years of marriage on June 18, 2022. They have three wonderful children and seven awesome Grandchildren, and six Great Grandchildren. Their favorite way to relax is with friends and family at Dillon Campgrounds. They love and enjoy people and look forward to those that the Lord will join them with as He builds “HIS” church, which the "gates of hell cannot prevail against!" Pastor Chuck and Pat were married June 18, 1971 and born again that same year on September 19th in a tent crusade conducted by Nelson and Susan Patterson who had a revival miracle crusade in their home town. They had thought about driving their motorcycle through the tent meeting for a little “FUN” on Saturday night, but instead, the next afternoon the Holy Spirit led them to actually attend that tent meeting where they accepted Christ as their personal saviour.
They served in every capacity in their home church in Ohio until the Lord put a divine unction in their hearts to go to Bible School in Cleveland, Tennessee. They graduated together in 1984. While there, in the living room of a little house they were renting, God awakened Chuck at 3:16 A.M. March 21st and drew him into a time of intimate fellowship. During that time the Lord spoke to Chuck and said; “I have called you into the office of a pastor. Weeping, Chuck went back to the bedroom to tell Pat, but the Lord had already prepared her by speaking to her that He was giving Chuck their assignment. After Bible School the Lord opened a ministry opportunity in Dallas, Texas where Chuck was hired as one of approximately 15 staff ministers. He was eventually promoted to coordinator of the pastoral staff and various outreaches and functions within that local church of 8,000-10,000 people. Pat was the guest coordinator for the daily television program which hosted such guests as Kenneth Copeland, Marilyn Hickey, T.L. Osborn, and countless other men and women of faith. After being there for 3 years the stirring began to happen to step out to the fullness of the call to “Pastor” that God had given him 3 years earlier. The time in that ministry was a time of preparation and blessing as they received tremendous input from some of the top speakers in the nation. The blessing of being able to minister on a level that few people ever do remains a cornerstone in the Gamble’s spiritual foundation.
A call came from a group of seven people on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, asking Chuck and Pat to come and establish a “Word of Faith” type church with them, for as yet there was no such church in the area. After five months of prayer and counsel, they made their way to New England and began a work that lasted for fifteen years. That work included purchasing a theater and renovating it to look like a lovely New England church. They established a local TV program called, “Harvest Time,” that aired 12 times a week in the various towns on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, which lasted twelve years. Pat was a featured speaker in several Women’s Retreats and meetings, and hosted conferences on “Getting Past The Past.”
In the winter of 2001 the Gambles began experiencing a nudging in their spirit that there was a definite change coming. In obedience to the Word they sought prayer and counsel from their pastors, in Seekonk, Massachusetts. They also fellowshipped and prayed with other local pastors and Christian leaders on Cape Cod. Through a series of events that happened very quickly, they gave their church of 15 years, over to a couple from South Africa and headed back to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex area to their new assignment.
They served in a church in Irving in every capacity of ministry where there was a need until the Lord let them know that the time was at hand to begin a new church. The same day they informed the pastor in Irving that they would be stepping out to that assignment, a church building became available. The previous church had vacated this building and moved to another location. The pastor in Irving, with whom they had worked for nine months, laid hands on them, prayed, gave them an offering, blessed them and sent them out to do the work at hand.
For 2 years there were awesome times of intense worship, prayer & intercession in that church. Salvations, healings and deliverance have taken place as the Gamble’s remained faithful to their call as Pastors. On February 13th , the State of Texas purchased the church property for demolition to widen the Interstate Highway in front of the church. This action forced the closing of Revival Fellowship Church. The congregation had a Thanksgiving Service of Worship followed by the Laying on of Hands, to send the people of God out into the various churches in the area to be part of God’s end time harvest.
The Gambles new assignment was going back to their home town of Zanesville Ohio. After a year and a half of feeling invisible, unused, no opportunities to minister, unable to find employment, at the midnight hour, God begin to open doors for them. They started a church in a rented facility with 50 people in the first service, mostly relatives. Twenty people were saved and baptized in water.
At present, God has given them a "Landmark" Church now known as "Faith Christian Center," seating for 350 people with 28 acres, and an awesome congregation with room to grow.
What an exciting adventure!
